Growing up in Perth, Marko has a strong connection to the West coast of Australia. Deeply passionate about growing the Creative Performance and training Industry, Perth Dance Festival is the latest venture Marko is deeply passionate about bridging the gap and linking creative forces in one of Australia’s largest growing cities.

 

Marko Panzic is an Australian choreographer, creative director, and producer known for his impact across television, live performance, and the commercial dance industry over the past 24 years. He built his reputation through his dynamic, high energy choreography and a strong ability to facilitate storytelling into large scale stage experiences.

 

He first rose to prominence through Season 1 of So You Think You Can Dance Australia, top 20 contestant and later choreographed on the next 4 seasons, quickly establishing himself as a standout creative voice. From there, he expanded into major television and live productions, working as a choreographer and creative director on shows including The Voice, AGT, Australian Idol, the Logies , AACTA awards and Eurovision (Nationally and Internationally). 

 

Marko Panzic has also worked with Major international record labels and leading music artists, contributing choreography and creative direction to performances for names such as Kylie Minogue, Jessica Mauboy, Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian and many more. His work in the commercial music space has positioned him as a trusted collaborator for high profile, large scale performances.

 

Beyond choreography, he has been involved in casting at an international level, including contributing to projects linked to global artists such as Beyoncé.

 

Marko has a strong involvement in Charity and philanthropy,  continuing to his involvement with The United States Industry Dance Awards,  Dancers against Cancer, Ronald McDonald House and Charity Gala. Over the past 10 years Marko,  His company and many incredible Businesses and Individuals have facilitated community events raising funds for near and far.

 

One of his most influential achievements is founding and producing Dream Dance Company, a Commercial contemporary dance company that showcases elite Australian and International dancers. Through Dream and his broader work, Marko has played a significant role in developing and elevating emerging talent helping to kickstart the careers of many dancers and choreographers who have gone on to work internationally across major productions, tours, and Artists.

 

Marko is deeply involved in education and mentorship, creating elite training programs across Australia. His aim to consistently bridge the gap between industry level performance and accessible training pathways for young aspiring dancers. This marries into his position held at the helm of The Australian Dance Festival as Artistic Director for the past 14 years, noting the continued contribution

 

He continues to invest in Australia’s growth by facilitating International Choreographers and creatives  coming to Australia to enhance and unify global industry connections.
